Doubtful you can get around the Dealer(s). If I did reserve, I'd get it in writing and have a GM sign off. The Korean reviewer was talking up 0-100 KM/Hr in 5 sec but I think it was more a guess than inside info. I'd look for a mid range AWD long range at sub 60K US, as KIA excels at doing more for less, and they should be cranking them out in Georgia by late 2024 so with a $7,500 credit it would be pretty compelling.I absolutely love the styling on this vehicle. If the last video is correct, and they have a 100 kwh battery with a 337 mile WLTP range (~295 EPA), it will be the same real-world range as the Model Y with faster charging. That will make it a home run. But at $75k for the long range version with ADAS, I would rather spend $84k for a dual motor R1S with 340 miles of EPA range and one heck of a lot more performance.
If Kia offers a way to reserve this that does not involve dealing with one of its thieving, horrible, stealerships, I am all in on launch day.
I think the elongated shape throws it off a bit proportion wise but I think the reveal looks very nice. Much nicer than the leaks to date. I think the Koreans are really nailing the design aspect of their new vehicles.I just don’t get the styling . Its just so… trying to be something else. I can’t put my finger on it but i just get a vibe from it.
It’s got that cybertruck angular thing happening. I like it lol.I just don’t get the styling . Its just so… trying to be something else. I can’t put my finger on it but i just get a vibe from it.
I thought it was an odd choice myself, until I watched several videos and I have to say even the white looked really nice. Kind of like the white on the Ocean which looks nice in itself whereas the white MY just looks so plain. I think they were trying to go for the understated look and maybe trying to emulate the P3 reveal which was also in white.I like its LEDs but honestly the sides look like slabs. It's a van. Inside will be well appointed I'm sure. And I'll probably reserve when it's available.
However, I would like to ask Kia why they chose white as the release color. I get it, some people like white. People in Florida and Arizona love white because it gets less hot, is that right? But don't they usually pick an interesting color for releases? I'll just say, If you want your big boxy vehicle to look like a utility van, white is the perfect color. Maybe I should reserve judgement until I see it in another color.
No, you are pretty much dead on accurate. Kia has no clue about design. They overdo certain accents and then completely neglect whole sections of the vehicle. They are pretty much in my bottom tier along with toyota when it comes to design aesthetics.I like its LEDs but honestly the sides look like slabs. It's a van. Inside will be well appointed I'm sure. I don't put Kia that low, I like the Stinger a lot, and the Sorento. But I do agree with the over-doing and ignoring contrast. No, you are pretty much dead on accurate. Kia has no clue about design.
