Fisker Family,

meet the development test driver of the Fisker Ocean.
Now that she has completely healed from a horrendous racing car
accident p, where she broke her back, Abbie has resumed her
racing career!

Abigail Eaton (born 2 January 1992) is a British racing driver
from the Est riding of Yorkshire, England.

She starred as the test driver for the second and third series of The Grand Tour an Amazaon Prime video exclusive motoring series.

Eaton is a qualified racing instructor and a performance driving coach.
In October 2021, Eaton broke her back in an accident during a W series race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) requiring rehabilitation and a break from racing.

Development Driver
Fisker Inc
Oct 2021 - Present (1 Year & 7 months)

I'm lucky enough to be the Development and Test Driver for Fisker Automotive and their new Fisker Ocean SUV.

Funny, I was just thinking about her yesterday.
I waited until I heard that she’s recovered from her race car accident.
Great that Abbie Eaton has returned to the race car life
and hopefully will soon start up the Fisker Ocean driving dynamic testing

Great hire by Fisker! She's a fantastic driver and was also great on The Grand Tour. It's great to see her back behind the wheel after he back injury.

Abbie Eaton, the renowned racing driver will work with Fisker’s engineering team to help develop the brand’s signature driving dynamics.

The focus will be on engaging the Fisker Ocean’s low center of gravity and on-demand torque.

Fisker is ahead of schedule with Fisker Ocean SUV prototype testing.

Abbie Eaton:

Whether for racing or for the road, setting up a vehicle is both art and science,”
”I’ve already had a taste of how an electric vehicle handles on the track,
I’m looking forward to working with the Fisker engineering team on the Ocean
and how we can take dynamic advantage of that low center of gravity and on-demand torque.”

Respectfully disagree with your part about being ahead of schedule on prototype testing.

Chevrolet is doing testing now for a vehicle that will be coming in a year and that would be ahead of schedule IMO. Fisker should have everything worked out and ready to go. Where are the 'real world' numbers on anything? Just seems to me that there's going to be a lot of information coming waaaayyyyyy to close to SOP. Just my thoughts.

I respect your thoughts but GM is a mammouth Cie from old school with many decisionnal steps to arrive to a conciencious. Fisker startup has a low decisionnal structure and Magna have a lot of experience so I am confident they will be ready in time. I could be wrong.

Well, according to Henrik's latest post on Instagram, they're still on time. I do remember last year, he said that things were going so smoothly that it was possible they'd start producing ahead of schedule.

Yes I remember that's why they talked to deliver some in November. Considering they start production on Nov.17 and have 2 weeks of WIP then it was impossible to deliver in November except if they start earlier. ;)
Stay tune.

If they deliver 1 vehicle in November, that will count and they can say they delivered. Hahaha

Nothing is set in stone until it actually happens. We'll see soon enough.

I may be being somewhat cynical suggesting that it might be at least somewhat marketing, but no doubt it happens. Obviously I want everything she's saying to be true. One of those Oceans has my name on it. 🚗

I'm curious to eventually find out how sporty they have tuned the Ocean. It's subjective so it's difficult, but hopefully they nail the balance between comfort and sportiness.
In Abbie Eaton we trust!
