Address confirmation email

So I just got one of those "confirm your address" emails from Fisker. One of the questions they ask on their form is:
"In lieu of home delivery, would you be interested in picking up your vehicle at a Fisker Center or official Fisker pick-up location near you?"

Obviously my first preference is home delivery. But since I'm in northern Atlanta I wonder if picking home delivery will further delay my delivery versus picking up at an official Fisker pick-up location. Thing is, I've never seen a list of "official pick-up" locations. So how would I know where the closet location is for me here in Atlanta? I may have missed this but anyone have some insight on this? I don't mind driving to a location so long as it's not in another state or several hours away. How do you answer this question without a list of pickup location options?

IT'S GETTING REAL. I would contact Fisker to see if they plan on giving us a list of Fisker Pickup locations.

My thinking: I said that I would be willing to pick it up at a center near me. If I have to travel several hours, then I get several hours of bonding time on the way back. Probably save $1000+ and get it sooner.

But, yeah, my build locks Monday morning & sh*t is getting real!!
I got that email too even though my lock-in isn't until March 13th. I'm going with the regional distribution center and doing a road trip if needed.

The largest ports for imported vehicles on the east coast are (largest to smallest): Baltimore, NY/NJ, Jacksonville, Brunswick/Savannah, Davisville RI, and Philadelphia. I hope there are multiple choices. For me, 300 miles to Baltimore or 400 miles to Brunswick/Savannah.
It is kind of silly to ask a preference between home delivery and a Fisker Center without details like location and dates. I stuck with home delivery. My location is in NJ, and I figured the Fisker Center will be in NYC - that's not going to be my first drive.

Got the email.
Open to road trip and $1000 savings.

From the question, I didn't feel like you would be committing to anything, I feel they are just trying to get a sense of how many would want to pick up their Oceans (possibly for them to figure out where they should have "pick up" locations). "Near you" is very subjective. I am guessing once they have confirmed delivery dates, we will get a follow up emails asking if we prefer home delivery or pick up at X address.

I already submitted for the survey. They ask about accessories, etc. Afterwards, I realized I should have requested a scale/model/toy Ocean, would love one for my son (I'd also gladly purchase one if available). If anyone else feels the same would you mind adding that in your survey responses? It won't let me edit my previous responses.

No idea of where pickup would be and what benefits I would get out of such — so after putting thousands down before any vehicles were made, with intent of a somewhat catered delivery experience, I'm sticking with the catered experience until things are laid out better.

My knee-jerk thoughts were wondering if that was a cost saving measure presented at random, second thoughts were questioning if my order priority could be impacted by saying no. I wish the question/context was more transparent.

I think they're trying to gauge who is interested in taking home delivery vs picking up the car. If they can even rent a warehouse where cars can be picked up near customers, that makes it convenient for the customer. I'm think this is all just an information gathering exercise.

Is this the male equivalent of mother-newborn bonding?

Join the ongoing NJ/NY thread here. 👀

Would love to meet up and see it when it arrives! 👍
I’m surprised that no one has mentioned some of the stupid or silly questions on that survey. Maybe it’s just me, maybe I’m just a jerk but asking me “do you feel guilt free by driving a Fisker Ocean” or something like that…. WTF? There was few of them that I thought were plain ridiculous. I’ve been working my butt off the last few days and can’t remember now but the same sort of stupid surveys from Jag one time. Way over the top. It’s like they think every one of their buyers spends their days biking to the nearest forest and hugging trees or will soon be an ex-Prius owner. How about I just like the car?

Some of the next questions from Fisker will probably be:

1: “Does driving your new Fisker Ocean make you want to stop by the roadside and sniff daisies?“

2: “Does owning a new Fisker Ocean make you resent all those years pouring Dino juice down your previous ride?”

3: “By buying your new Fisker Ocean, do you feel like reparations for any animal related to nasty flesh ripping beasts that lived millenniums ago? After all, their ancestors are getting you around in your pathetic ICE car for over a hundred years…..”

4: “With your new purchase of a Fisker Ocean, do you suddenly identify with unicorns?”

5: “Do you see yourself prancing through fields of butterflies and letting the wind blow through your hair when thinking about the arrival of your new FiskerOcean?”

6: “As a new owner of a genuine Fisker Ocean and being the proponent of sustainability that you are, will you embrace living by candlelight and using one sheet of toilet paper?”

Strongly agree O Strongly disagree O

When I saw the “guilt-free” question I laughed and finished the survey somehow without feeling insulted. What bugged me was the incomplete choices for people living in the home.

So, we are not saviors of the universe by driving an Ocean?
Ive been practicing looking down my nose but everything gets really blurry when I do that.

I'll give it more time.

Do you mean how 4 was not an option?

The "describe your life stage" bothered me. Shouldn't that allow multiple answers - can you not both focus on your career and recently marry your partner? Or start a family? It felt like a very convoluted way to ask for someone's age.

The options were
A) 1
B) 2
C) 3
D) More than 4

Home delivery will probably an additional cost. It maybe convenient if you do not live close to an experience center. I do mind picking it up from the experience center since I am less than 20 miles from it.
