Does anyone have any info if the Ocean will be able to Plug & Charge? I've almost never had an issue charging my Model Y at a Tesla Supercharger and one of my biggest fears is having to deal with Destination America chargers that are laggy, unresponsive, and take forever to communicate or don't work. One other benefit is you just plug in and it charges the card on file. No need to swipe. Does anyone know if Plug and Charge will be available or if the battery will be able to precondition before you charge it at a station?

Having your own charging infrastructure sure does make a difference.

Fisker has a contract with Electrify America (details unknown at the moment). EA can have issues with being laggy/unresponsive/don't work just like all the other CCS charging networks. That is a concern and hopefully will get better with time. I know doing trips with my Tesla, the supercharger network is superior in ease of use, number of chargers at sites, and general reliability. Though I have had an issue with a supercharger unit from time to time, there are usually 8-12 chargers, and I just go to another one next to it.

Regarding battery preconditioning for DC fast charging, we don't know at this point. If they have a plug and charge contract with EA, it will make things easier.

No details on EA agreement if that is even still valid. Who knows what network he will end up with if any.

I believe he said no preconditioning needed in an interview here. It was towards the end.

May we please get a consistent definition of what "preconditioning" means? In another thread, Henrik's comment about it not being necessary was applied to interior cabin climate control. Which of these is it? Is this for the battery or for the interior cabin temperature being controlled remotely?

Unfortunately preconditioning is the term for both cases. I suppose if you specify "battery preconditioning" or "cabin preconditioning" helps. In my experience, preconditioning for supercharging is optional and only makes a big difference during winter.

Therefore, this chart means the Ultra does not have the cabin temperature "preconditioning"? It's listed under HVAC, so this is not just about the battery in the cold? I assume if I leave the car locked with the AC running when out and about, or turn on the AC on in my garage while hooked up to power a while before we're ready to depart, it will operate...or won't it?

That's all we know for now. Cabin preconditioning could be bundled into an option package. We just don't know yet.

As far as how it works with and without preconditioning, we can only guess. I'm guessing that with preconditioning, you can use the app or in-car to activate. Without it you probably could do a work around by turning on HVAC manually while the car is "on".
