Canadian lock in dates

Hey all, I am pretty sure there are a few Canadian One orders. When are your lock in dates? Does it still look like they will be built at the end of the Ocean One production?

Hi, new to this, what is lock in date? And what are Canadian buying options? Lease rates? And does that "flexible lease" that I heard where u pay every month, no terms, like a subscription?

Any info would be great, thx

The lock in date is for people who ordered the One (limited edition, now sold out). The Flexee Lease will basically be a subscription. They haven't provided much info on it yet and said it will announce more towards end of 2023. No news if it will be offered outside of the U.S. either. They will likely have a traditional lease as well.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have another Canuck on the forum. Feel free to share what has you interested in the Ocean. TT97 is correct, the Flexee lease may not be applicable in Canada, or its rates may very well change significantly depending on several factors. One being the insurance component which originally was supposed to be included. However, several Provinces have Crown corps mandating insurance so depending on where you live you may or may not be eligible.

As for buying, Fisker has not announced if they will have a financing partner in Canada. I believe it's Chase in the US, but feel free to check me on that.

We don't have any info at the moment for delivery either. Will they have depots, or partners, that we can pick up from? Will we be taking delivery off of a flatbed on our street? Lots to come. The configurator will be the next thing that is exciting, or scary, depending on the pricing and your budget lol.
Thx 4 the replies guys, I wonder if they will tour Canada as I'm still concerned about the smallish cargo space. I also wonder what standard winter package (heated seats / wheel) will they offer in the base model. Anyone know?
When did you reserve? I could see them doing a Fisker Experience Center in Toronto and Vancouver by the end of 2023 so you may get a chance to see it in Canada before you buy if you reserved recently. And where do you live?

The rear cargo area does look smallish-but when you see it with the cargo floor lifted out there is a decent space underneath. The winter package will be an option on the Ultra for sure, and I think Sport trim as well.

What about Montréal ? Here some informations on Canada's sales in 2021:
Quick facts

New motor vehicle registrations, 2021

  • New registrations of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) hit an important milestone in 2021, with ZEVs comprising 5.2% of all new motor vehicles registered.
  • There were 1.6 million new motor vehicles registered in Canada in 2021, increasing 6.5% from 2020.
  • In 2021, 93.4% of new zero-emission vehicles were registered in Canada’s three largest provinces; 42.8% of new ZEVs registered were in Quebec, 27.7% in British Columbia, and 22.9% in Ontario
Québec could get the Fisker Center in first in Canada.

Introduction as requested....I am in the greater GTA (Guelph). I have been driving a 2017 Volt for 6 years (about 85% electric kms). It has been one of the best cars I have owned (comfortable, stylish, economical, almost zero maintenance). I like to say that my car is nuclear powered because most of my charging is done overnight and the majority of that baseload electricity is generated by nuclear.

I considered various options for my next vehicle and settled on Fisker Ocean (Model Y - poor value, build quality concerns; Mach E - don't like the styling; ID 4 - came close but in law ordered one and I did not want to copycat, also wanted a bit more range and/or faster charging). The Fisker Ocean seems to check all of the boxes. It has great range (with hopefully fast charging), amazing style as well as a coolness factor that will definitely one up that inlaw!

The Volt was the first PHEV I drove
while on vacay in CA. I was impressed
but disillusioned by the SLOW charging
in Walnut Creek....20 miles for 2 hours
charging.
Best NOT to challenge the inlaws
to a stoplight drag....they will probably disown you!

I'm in Toronto, the New Toronto neighborhood in the west end. I'm hoping my Ultra is delivered before the end of 2023.

Does anyone have thoughts on when Ultras will come? I figure if they are at full ramp by start of Q3 they should be able to pump through the first 40,000 resos... But that's optimistic I think.

All will depend on the way that Fisker will manage the production of the reservations. It seems they will produce high end trims first so 5000 Ones and how much Extreme? Will they prioritizing the ones with reservations or new guys purchasing the Extreme instead the holder looking for an Ultra?
Many questions without answers for now!

I think this is almost guaranteed. They have a number of Extreme sales planned for 2023 and they don't plan on adjusting that even if there is more demand for the Ultra. If you want an Ocean early and didn't opt for the One, best consider the Extreme. Otherwise, you get to play the waiting game for another 365 and possibly then some.

I will stay on my trim Ultra because I have a BMW I4 coming for February. ;)
I'll stay on the Ultra because the Extreme is $89k and unless something happens before I have to lock in, that ain't happening. Also I don't know if I feel like the value is there at the Extreme trim, for my personal preferences. It's a lot of luxury goods like nice stereo, revolving screen, back seat HVAC. Some is practical though, the winter package and ADAS

Same here. Hopefully Canada doesn't have a tiny allocation of Ultras for 2023.
