I love the EV9. It is that or the Ocean or the Rivian (or maybe the new Blazer SS...). Reserve everything and see which one is best in 2023 when they start hitting the market.

Seeing as the the EV9 is set to come out in 2023 with the starting price of $50k, does this give you a bit of a pause if your going after the Ocean Ultra that's $50k also? I bive the Extreme and the One edition is coming out first so the Ultra might be coming out the same time as the EV9. As much as I like the Ocean design and that extra 50miles of range over the EV9 I'm thinking that 3rd row of the EV9 might push me towards it. My only concern is we don't have much other details such as standard options that might push the price up including dealer markups. The next 2 years is going to be interesting with so much competition coming out.
I was never interested in the KIA brand. Don’t want a car that sounds like a furniture store.

Of all the reasons....LOL! Everyone has the right to their own thoughts, but to extend the logic, you would look with disdain at a high performance German sports car because this other company exists?

...or turn down a German luxury sports sedan because of the similar-enough common abbreviation for a Bowel Movement? :ROFLMAO:

(Just some kidding here....;) )

You prefer your car brands to sound like a toy?

Actually, with all options, I am wondering what will be the Fisker Price? I am afraid after this teasing, ttouch will feel he has to cancel his reservation! LOL!
I've seen a lot of comments on Facebook confusing Fisker with Fiskar (scissors), everyone's a comedian.

KIA does not sound luxury to me for the price point 😂 BMW style is a bit off currently. The Ocean’s design and luxury are a lot better then the 2 I mentioned for the price point. But design is subjective.

I'm guessing that you are an audiophile, as sound is very important to you. I agree that brands do have images and when they try to change/improve them, it can take years. Here's an interesting article if you're wondering why others are willing to consider Kia at these price points.

No one is really proud to say they drive a Kia but it's based on their past history. Since they came out with the Stinger they clearly were trying to get better. Best thing they did was update the logo and started to provide some great looking cars. If they continue this path we will be so far gone from the 90s where they produced crap . I'm no longer against buying one. The main thing
I think about when buying a car is resale value and reliability which I think they came a long way from.

IMO, Hyundai/Kia are just as good as Toyota/Honda/Nissan these days in design and reliability. I wouldn't be embarrassed to own one. They have come a long way over the last few decades.

I did a test drive with the BMW M50 one month ago, it is a beast with an amazing confort inside, no noise, and the suspension is great. Believe me it is an incredible car with the same handling as the original BMW. I have a reservation on it, I will have to decide this summer which one I will take!

What we are seeing is concept and the production model is going to extremely different. I found this on a Korean site that shows what it could actually look like with a B pillar and normal opening doors.

That looks a little better, however, that is just someone's imagination of what it will look like. I was not impressed with the EV-9 at the LAAS; it reminded me of a Kia Soul on steroids.

I have been so disappointed by car companies for decades from the concept style to the actual production model. So many bait and switch! The Volt was a big one. I always say it is your money, you buy what you like and want. I will prob lease the Ocean and I have my eye on the Polestar 5 or Lucid Air in 2025.

Definitely the EV9 over Fisker Ocean. The size is what’s appealing to me. Need to be able to travel to Canada from the US with the family, dog, and stuff. Just made the trip to Canada (hence the Canadian flag showing for my profile), and we barely fit in the Kia Sorento. In fact, we couldn’t bring my son’s electric piano (keyboard with weighted keys without a permanent stand) with us, so he is missing six weeks of piano practice as a result. No way we would fit in a Fisker for this trip. However, the Fisker Ocean may replace my Tesla Model Y for an in-town vehicle. I will be definitely getting the EV9 or the Hyundai IONIQ 7. My intermediate stop-gap will be a AWD ID4, which should be delivered to me within a month; it’s already in the US waiting for the software update.

I’m proud to say I drive a Kia Sorento, and also this is my second Kia Sorento in 10 years. A superb vehicle. I smile every time I get in it, and I’ve been smiling in this vehicle for over 5 years now. Not one time did it or it’s predecessor let me down. Not once.
