Pretty impressive numbers. It is for the WT. The RST consumer version out this fall will lose something to wheels and power. Still going to be a range monster.

Pretty sure that is with the same battery pack as the Hummer though. They aren't beating on the efficiency drum with that one lol.

Really good for the first leg of your road trip… not so good when you need to recharge a 205kWh pack! And the RAM REV 1500 is even bigger…
The WT is only for fleet customers, correct?

Don’t think so - I think you can order a W/T for yourself if you dig that vinyl interior feel :) Ford also sells base versions of the Lightning to consumers, they just reserve the base model with the big battery for fleet customers.

But then you can clean the interior with a hose!

GM being all GM’y again. They refuse to entertain true efficiency because they are terrified they will alienate their meat and potatoes customers to ford or chrysler.
So, jam a giant assed super slow charging battery pack into a 7000lb box and brag about being an EV company.
I’ll give Tesla props for that ugly cybertruck- at least they are thinking outside the box and exploring efficiency. GM? Not so much.

Well, they have a point - if you’re actually doing pickup things (towing and hauling) efficiency is irrelevant… doesn’t matter how light or aerodynamic the truck is if it’s town 10,000 pounds of box trailer. So big battery is the only way… The Cybertruck has been revealed to have only 100kWh battery, which means it won’t be able to tow a big trailer more than 100 miles. So, it’s only target audience is people that think it looks cool but don’t actually do truck things. (To be fair, that does account for a lot of pickup truck buyers in real life, but they all think they’re going to do truck things.)

And to be fair, is the Fisker Alaska comes to fruition, that's what I'd expect it to be - something like the Hy7undai Santa Cruz or those Ford Explorer pick-ups from the 00s.

Which 96% of the pickup buying market ever needs.
I think I might take delivery of my Silverado, but now I want EPA figures for the RAM. I'm also waiting for the Alaska.

Well said. Pickup trucks and SUV's have become more of a status symbol in the US.

There are a few good reads around the interwebs on how the pickup is the new status symbol. And it's true. It's a glorified minivan, and they've become very expensive.

I get it, I don't need to be sold the "nice, high, view of the road" and "plenty of space for your family and their stuff." I always wanted a truck, and then I moved to the city. I couldn't dream of daily driving a pickup in my commute. And I don't need a truck in 99% of my life.

All that said, I'm really thinking of taking delivery of a Cybertruck. But that is thinking I could turn around and resell for a pretty penny to some rich individual with no patience. There are people in Toronto with tons of money that would pay to just have one for the exclusivity. I'm around 600k in line though so I've got plenty of time to see how the resale market develops for CT.
