That's a good point. It's also why my Tesla will max out at CCS chargers at around 200-205 kW. Tesla can hit 250 kW on a 400V system due to the high amperage (800).Before we get excited about 250kW peak for DCFC, remember that the Fisker uses a 400V architecture. At the CCS limit of 500A, the most power a Fisker Ocean can draw is roughly 400V * 500A = 200kW. Most likely, the voltage will be slightly lower and therefore the peak power slightly lower. Comparing to a Blazer EV and Lyriq, for example, which have peak charging speed of 190kW, the Fisker Ocean is likely to be very similar in spite of claiming a peak charging speed of 250kW.
