Clearly sped up. Traffic in LA doesn't go this fast.

Video was recorded at this location: 34°03'18.9"N 118°11'09.9"W
Nice to see navigation has top view with near surrounding detection, but doesn't show traffic.
The solar roof with stripes seems to be too dark to see anything.

Looks like arrival time 4:47, 6:03 total drive time, distance 379 miles, stop at Electrify America in 241 miles and charge from 16% to 56% will take a total of 31 minutes (not good!), arrive with 14% charge remaining.

I wonder what the published speed for that exact EA location is.

That roof! Glad I didn’t pay for the One.
“stop at Electrify America in 241 miles and charge from 16% to 56% will take a total of 31 minutes (not good!)”

-Probably taking into account the “not good” speed of the EA chargers at that location! 😂

And kind liking the roof. Certainly cooler and more functional than the roofs on my ID4s. With the “free” upgrades, pretty happy with the ONE. Not sure about my Extreme reservation - only made sweeter due to the tax credit…..may not be enough justification for a second Ocean (really like the ID4s).

With you on the roof. Looks fine to me. We shall see.

On EA, the car may be smart enough to know Henrik is going to have to try three different stalls and call customer service before his charging session begins. 😂

Good to see even though the preferred ChargePoint network does not include EA, that the car navigation will route to available EA sites.
So, backing out the stop to charge, the average speed ~69 MPH. If it started at 100% (don't have a LinkedIn account), then it took 126% of charge to go 379 miles, or 3.0 miles per 1% (301 miles on a full charge) at 69 MPH. That's pretty good, imho, and ought to easily produce 350+ miles combined.

The Ocean has a massive battery. I have a feeling charge curve will get better once Fisker has more data on the batteries.

With this size battery, it’s supposed to be a road tripper. But with this size trunk, it’s a city car. Bipolar.

You should check out this site. You are obviously doing something wrong.

With all due respect, unless you are in the middle of the Australian outback or somesuch, 300 miles at highway speeds is a road-tripper in my book. That's a 4- or 5-hour drive without stop. I live in a rural, undeveloped portion of the US (Michigan's Upper Peninsula). The longest stretch you would have to travel currently between fast-charging stations is 265 miles, and that gap had grants for three DCFC locations accepted last fall.
He just posted another video on LinkedIn- this time all out speed on the Autobahn and recorded 123mph .
Car looked super stable and road noise was minimal (for that speed).

I am with you on the roof. Although I don't want the roof, I want all options so have an Extreme on order. I hope there is a proper cover or solar roof delete option. Haha.

Isn’t it what I said? The range is of a road tripper the trunk is of a city car.

I think it just depends on the size of your family. For most new vehicle purchasers who are primarily at two-person families, this is an ideal road trip car. You can fold the seats and throw in a couple of dogs and three weeks of luggage. For larger families, it is bi-polar as you say. But the reality is:
  • 41% of all new car buyers are 60+
  • ~57% of all new car buyers are 50+
  • Expensive vehicles like the Ocean tend to skew older than average so numbers are likely even older
So for the core demographic, this is a road-trip monster.
