When the Ocean is parked the screen will rotate from portrait to landscape so you can watch videos and relax while charging or taking a break from driving.

Are you not entertained? When your #FiskerOcean is parked, you can see how we’ve revolutionized "down time." Our exclusive 17.1-inch Revolve touchscreen rotates from Control Mode – a portrait view - to Hollywood Mode, a landscape 16:9 widescreen format. Enjoy movies, complete with 360° sound, in an immersive cinematic experience. Turn charge-up time into movie time!

... Anyone know the mechanism to play movies? Streaming only? Will the entertainment system play mp4/mkv files? Reads audio/video files via USB and, if so, what version of USB?

Yes, I've asked these before and am repeating myself...

My main question about this is whether this will be a subscription/OTA option. If so, that means that all Oceans will have the motor and capability but you will have to pay to unlock it (hard to wrap your head around really). Then that leads to the stereo question (which seems to be tied to this in the trims). Will you unlock the use of dormant speakers if you have say a "Premium" stereo but then want the "Hypersound" version. Or will this particular feature set be only available as a package when configuring your order?

This thing is such a gimmick. Charging times are rarely over 30 minutes. You get out and use the bathroom, clean the windshield, buy a snack, stretch your legs. Who wants to continue sitting in their car during a break on a roadtrip so badly that they really need a big screen to watch short videos on? And the fact that it's motorized means it's just one more thing to break, and becomes more easy to break than a solid mounted screen.

I tend to agree with you, though I do find myself watching screens in a few situations. This would be nice when I am on the ferry. But if it only works when I have an internet connection, that goes out the window... Perhaps when I am camping, oh wait... I feel like this is one of those things people think they would use but are hard pressed to find the time and proper application.

My thoughts exactly. Fisker is addressing something no one asked about. I mean, look at the Tesla community.

Yeah it's a thing you show off to your friends once and then never use. Like tesla's fart mode.

Please tell my 8-year old son that Tesla fart mode is for a one time use and never to be used again!
