Ford to adopt Tesla NACS for their EVs

This is actually huge EV news. Initially cars will get Tesla-to-CCS adapters. In 2025, new cars will have a NACS port installed from the factory.

Clarified in this article that the next gen Ford EVs with the NACS port will be the only port. A CCS to Tesla adapter will be included.

If that adapter were available to every EV owner I would certainly buy one.

That adapter is available to anyone already. It won’t do you any good unless you own a Tesla or a second-generation Ford. The adapter is to charge a car with a NACS port from a CCS DC charger. You can buy it today for $175.
This is interesting news overall. More manufactures may move over if it's that easy, at least for North American cars. Obviously the Euro zone has everyone on the other standard plug.

It’s dead in Europe, but CCS1 must die in North America.
