Congrats on the ONE and joining the Oceanforums.
Hopefully, you will receive YOUR own personal Ocean ONE sometime in JUNE 2023.
It will be fantastic if you'l let me organize and Show & Tell for the Canadian Ocean Reservation Holders from the Greater Toronto Area.

Welcome from the other side of the border. There are a lot of Canadian flags on this forum. I've been to TO a few times, and was lucky enough to see The Kids in the Hall do a taping back in the 90s. I had planned on returning to PEI this year, but it's not going to happen unfortunately.

Hello from Halifax!

I’d be shocked if I weren’t the only one in this group from Halifax. Or even from the Atlantic Canada all together.

I’m new to the forum, and also to the reservation list. I reserved my Ocean on July 16. I’ll be ordering the Ultra (probably. Perhaps the Sport). I see a lot of comments about when people are expecting their delivery, or where they are on the reservation list. How does anyone know this just from your order number? Did I miss something? Based on what I’m seeing here, I have to assume I’m well into 2024, but if that’s true I’m not sure I want to wait that long to get into an EV. But I guess we’ll see. Because this car is so badass.

Anyway, good to be here. I can’t wait to learn more from everyone.

Welcome to the forum. I'm a Yank but have been to Cape Breton twice (kayaking trips) and PEI 3 times. I loved both spots.

Welcome to the Oceanforum and Congrats on your Ultra Reservation
You are definitely on the short list of Easy Coast Canadians (maybe the first here

P.S. 58,000 Ocean Reservations puts you from July 2024 - Oct 2024
Ultra will get to Canada sooner than Sport since Sports will be
probably produced in low quantities (10% production?)

Keep in mind, all EV Reservations from all OEM manufacturers
are now stating 18 months - 24 months wait

But how do you know this? Has it been published somewhere? I can’t find anything about what my reservation number means to where I am in line.

Magna Steyr is projected to build at least 40,000 Fisker Oceans in its first year
Fisker Inc wants Magna to ramp up production to, at least, 6,000 per month for its second year. (2024)
That means your Fisker Ocean (#58,000) will be built by April 1, 2024 in a perfect scenario.
(2023 = 40,000 Fisker Ocean
2024 = Jan/Feb/Mar @ 6,000 x 3 mts = 18,000

Also, I’m aware that because I’m not in a major city centre and there will likely not be many orders from my area that I may move further down the list. Obviously Fisker will want to get the cars out first to cities that have thousands of orders. It’s gonna be a long wait, I think. On the other hand, Henrik has said they want to extend beyond the current production plan of 50,000 a year. And if I’m in the top 50,000 (or so) wouldn’t that mean it should be roughly 12 months from when they start in November, not 24? Unless there’s something I’m misunderstanding about the production schedule.

@GreyDuck, the timeline Blu Angel gives is our best estimate given all the variables. Magna probably won't hit the ground running at full production capacity and will ramp up to 5k (or 6k) per month. There is a shipping lag to get from Europe to North America. There will be a delay from some port of entry to some delivery point near where you live (or to your house if you pay for that). Russia cutting off gas to Europe will probably affect Magna production. Chip shortages... Who knows? The list is pretty long.

It's an educated guess.

Fair points on all accounts. Well, I guess I just wait and see. Though, if the total reservation list is 58,000 now, surely I'm inside the top 50,000. They had to have had more than 8,000 reservations come in the past 2 months, given the Pebble Beach and New York visits, no? Anyway, I'm going to hope I can get inside the first year's allotment, but I'm going to plan for it being later. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and all that.

Though, I really do wish Fisker were more transparent about the reservation list, how many exactly are on it (knowing some will fall off when it comes time for them to put a binding order in), and where each number sits in the queue. It's my biggest complaint about the whole process right now (and if that's my biggest complaint, we're doing fine.) I just think everyone would appreciate knowing where they stand. And it would also hold the company accountable to their investors and reservation holders and prevent changing things randomly or playing favourites or anything like that. I've seen a several other comments on Instagram and Twitter asking for the same thing. Transparency is a good thing, especially with a new, largely unproven company. I'm very confident all the cars will be built and they will all be of the highest quality. When they will be delivered seems to be the only question left. Even all the information in this forum is speculation, and it may well turn out to be accurate, but it's speculation all the same. It would be nice if Fisker stepped up with something a little more concrete is all I'm saying.

Thanks everyone!

Also, keep in mind that they're buildings the One first, followed by the Extreme, and finally the Ultra and Sport. It's not first come first served.
Yes, I've read that. I've also read that Henrik is looking into adding more Sports and Ultras to the first year production schedule, but has said nothing firm on that.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to cater to the high end models first, after the Ones of course. Obviously those should come first. Beyond that, more people want the lower 2 than the top one, as evidenced by how the Sport and Ultra are already sold out for 2023 but the Extreme isn't (and this is of course true with any manufacturer). Plus, that's just for the US orders is how I understand it. No one at Fisker has said anything about how or when the Canadian or European orders will be filled, or how many they are currently scheduling for production in the first year. It could be none. You could be number 1 on the list for an Extreme in Canada and still not get yours until after every order in the US has been filled. Without having some published plan, we don't know if they are going to ship all of the first 40,000 to the US, or if they're going to split those among all orders. I know they haven't said it's first come first served, but it really should be. Reward those that have supported the company the longest first. Put people who put down their money in 2019 at the front. Put people like me toward the back. But people who are just learning about this car last week in New York definitely shouldn't be able to get theirs months or potentially a year before I do just because they want an Extreme and I want an Ultra. What's the point of a reservation system if it's not first come first served or at least something close to that?

This is my ultimate point: there are a ton of potential customers our there that have paid their reservation fees and have no idea when their cars are expected to be built. It's a misstep on Fisker's part, in my opinion. And obviously, I'm aware Fisker has no reason to care about my dumb opinion. So I'll wait, but it would still be nice to know something official instead of having to make educated guesses.

I read that, not just Fisker, but other companies too, build their most expensive variants first because they of course generate the most profits. But, I was thinking that if they built there cheaper models first, there would be more on the road, which would generate more interest in the brand. No doubt people who know way more than me have considered this.
