I thought I read somewhere that Magna operating in North America was already in the works, so I don’t think Fisker would have to pay for it.A USA Magna factory would be an awesome sign. And a way for amercians to get tax credits again. It would actually prove that the democrat's bill is working as designed - bringing jobs to the USA. Would fisker have to pay for the new factory though? That would mean selling more stock and diluting current stock values. At least in the short term.
The have lots of factories in Canada, US, and Mexico but not a vehicle assembly plant (currently only in Austria and China). They have talked about it off and on for years. They just completed a new battery assembly facility in Michigan for GM.Magna is a Canadian company so they already "operate" in NA. Now, whether they manufacture here is another question. It would make sense to expand their contract manufacturing to the US.
This is very true. just did a quick site search.
