Hi all - I've been lurking for a bit (and even made a single post), but haven't introduced myself yet. I'm looking at getting my first electric car - I have a reservation for the Fisker Ocean and the Mach E. On paper the Ocean looks ideal for me -- really nice looking car with all the features I'm looking for, but of course it's all still theoretical. The obvious concern is long term upkeep if the company doesn't make it - sure, they could just sell and another company takes over producing parts and so on, but it's less of a guarantee than from one of the big manufacturers.

That being said, I'm super excited for it to hit the market. I made my reservation at the end of February and at the moment I'm in the market for the Extreme, but I might switch to the Ultra if overall difference in performance is negligible. I don't know why I need to go from 0-60 in under 4 seconds, but I do. :)

My order for the Mach E will probably be fulfilled around September or so. If reviews are out for the Ocean and they are amazing, I'll cancel the Mach E. However, if my order comes up and there isn't enough data, I'll go with the Mach E, and I figure with the way the used car market is right now, I'd probably be able to sell it without much loss and get the Ocean if that turns out to be better.

Should be fun!

I dont think any Oceans will be delivered before november at the very earliest, so you'll definitely be driving a mach E.

Yeah, I'm not expecting an Ocean until March 2023, but I think they have some production vehicles coming out this summer and journalists should be able to review them. But overall, I suspect you're right that I'll stick with my Mach E order and if the Ocean is just awesome I can sell the Mach E and move to the Ocean then.

I think their might be a total of 100 oceans delivered I. USA by end of year. For reviews I am thinking August or September press will fly to Austria and do hands on with pre production or production prototypes. Which will probably be Extreme or one prototypes.

I got to see a Mach-E in person last year. Really nice car - I loved the red paint. I'm sure you will like it.

Welcome aboard “Hidden behind the Door #3!”
great to hear you’ll be joining the EV revolution!

The Mustang Mach E is a fabulous EV and I was smitten
three years ago during its Canadian reveal at the CIAS in Toronto.

I love your strategy of hedging your bets with both EV Reservations (Ford & Fisker)
Heads up….you win! tails up….you win!

I predict you will receive, love and enjoy the Mustang Mach E!
THEN, upon positive auto review publications for the Fisker Ocean,
you will up-sell the Mach E and live happily ever after with the Fisker Ocean!
