Aloha everyone, you’ve all moved up one place in line for your ocean reservation.

I just don’t see the value any longer.

I’m begrudgingly not a fan of their proposed business model. Additionally, I think their attempt to Green Wash the product is superficial, insincere, and simply a marketing gimmick.

I hope I am wrong. May all of you enjoy your Fisker Ocean once is finally arrives. I’m going to hold out for something else, perhaps just roller skates and public transit if I honestly wanna go green.

I'm right behind you. I ordered a Polestar 2 a few days ago. I spoke to my neighbor on my street who's one of the head finance people for McGovern automotive group here in New England and I told him about the $5000 non-refundable for the ONE. First sentence out of his mouth was that Fisker needs cash. He then said that the $5000 non-refundable is a big red flag.
I hope it works out for everyone but the Ocean is just not for me at this time. I'll purchase the Polestar 2 and keep looking at what is coming out in the next year or two.
Good luck to everyone.

Good luck!

P.S. I'm perplexed as to why everyone thinks Fisker needing money is such a surprise. Every automotive startup is going to go through it. Tesla was days away from closing its doors before it got funding according to Musk himself. Rivian is in trouble as well. It takes time to build a business and you're not instantly making money overnight. It takes YEARS to turn a profit.

$5,000 × 5,000 is $25 million; that is about 2 weeks of operating expenses; I seriously doubt this is a money raise issue.

The $25 Million won't do much. The non-refundable part is to demonstrate to lenders and investors that these are in fact firm orders. Fisker needs to lower their risk profile to lenders to raise cash. Money is starting to tighten in financial markets, so I'm not at all surprised by this move. Also, they don't need cash for the Ocean really, its mainly to fund the Pear.

Fisker definitely did their SPAC at the right time.

It's not a money raise issue. They want people that are committed and you're less likely to back out after you've dropped $5,000. Has Fisker been the most helpful in providing any kind of info to potential buyers? No. I actually emailed them about Homelink and got a response that more information would be available closer to launch. Not sure why they think any of this info is top secret, but the Ocean is intriguing compared to the competition. Great range, great tech, great looks and what looks to bea great vehicle to drive. We'll see.

Also important to note this is only for the ONE. All other trims will have lower dollar commitment requirements.

I'm on the verge of bidding farewell too, but it really doesn't matter if I get my $225 of $250 back now or after their final "infomation dump" whenever they have that planned. Meanwhile, there is some interest value in the "drama" LOL. But, I don't see some obstacles being reversed at this point, even if they do announce SiriusXM compatibility and the rear seats/cargo turn out to be big enough, e.g. white/blue stripe cloth seats as only choice on Ultra and at extra cost, no non-black 20" wheels, no HUD, no ventilated seats, no reassuring service facilities. So much effort devoted to things that mean nothing to me..."vegan", Smart Traction, California Mode, a rotating screen, anything related to autonomy. I'm going to hang in to see what the final reveal of specs is, but lots would have to change to place an order vs Polestar, MB, or Genesis EV models about to launch. But, I do hope the stock gets back to or above $11.40!

The 5K makes me an absolute order.
My absolute order is a credit rating to Fisker Inc. to raise further capital.
Next shareholders meeting will be pretty interesting for our interests in getting the best vehicle possible and their interests for delivering.

Ordering a Polestar today will get you delivery in October this year. Not bad.
I was considering it, but it is only 250miles/charge.
I checked out the P2, but it's too small as our family car. Even less rear legroom and cargo than what I think we know about Ocean. Waiting for the P3 to compare to the EQE SUV.

My issue with the Polestar - which is a nice enough vehicle otherwise - is its painfully slow fast charging. The Inside EVs test took 45 minutes to add 170 miles of range from a 10% starting point. For me, this is just too slow to be useful as a primary vehicle.

The Polestar 3 is the opposite issue - too big for my use. It's supposed to be a XC90 size vehicle ~ 195" The Polestar 4 will be similar to the Ocean in size, but that's several years out.

My current 330i GT is 190" OAL and the cargo area routinely gets filled while the rear seat has great legroom for adults. I thought the Ocean at 188" would be ok, as it doesn't have the same sloped roofline at the GT, so more usable space, even though a slight bit shorter. Thought about the new i4, but it's tighter/smaller than I could possibly consider for the rear seat. But, regarding Ocean, I have also read some comments that the load floor is higher than expected, so not sure yet if Ocean would work out. Starting from 190" presently, I can accept up to ~195" and still have walkaround space in my garage. The larger mistake for me would be undersizing the vehicle such that it's compromised for carrying both 4 adults and luggage, etc. With my wife driving a Mini Countryman, I'm looking for our roomy family car for all occasions. I have my own separate "fun" car, so I don't need this car to be performance-oriented. I just need range, comfort, and interior space/package size with good overall dynamics and the content we desire. Actually, a Mach E would also work for size if I was open to a Ford product.

Not to derail, but I have a Mach E, it's kind of amazing. I legitimately don't understand why people give it a pass as an option. Won't be able to order it until mid August though.

Quick reply....size is good, the ones I've seen look very well assembled. I'd prefer a more upscale product and then there's this:

They have not handled some recent issues well, such as the on the dual-clutch transmission, so my trust/faith is low for the company.
