I absolutely LOVE my VW CC Rline. Best road car i have ever owned and has given me 100k trouble free miles as i drive all over the PNW from Vancouver BC south to Medford Oregon and east to Boise Idaho- but I am SICK AS EFF of the stranglehold the oil companies have on us and detest how they can raise the price at will with nary a word or objection from DC. So, consider this a big BIRD to big oil, and I’ll be doing it in style.
Goodbye to Gunther CC, you have served me well but I got to move forward.

I had a brief thought of keeping my ICE (2012 Volvo S60), but, having my own home, I'll rarely have to be concerned about public charging, even doing weekend trips (I set my trip odometer for my road trips this year, and so far, there was only 1 time I'd need to recharge before getting home).

I have similar feelings. I love my Subaru Outback. It's decent mpg, all wheel drive, roomy, comfy, and the doggos fit it in really well, but the Fisker Ocean just seems like a great vehicle. We have hyrbid minvan that we love, which got me in to the hybrid/EV band wagon.

Mine has under 71,000 miles so there's a lot of life left in it. And I do like it. But the Ocean will have ten extra years of technology (mine just beeps if I get too close to an object and is supposed to stop at obstructions if I'm driving up to 19 mph). I had even thought of buying a Karma as a fun second vehicle, but again, technology has moved on so much from that time that I'm not sure about it. I do sometimes think that I'd love an electric restomod, but that's very likely fantasyland for me.

I will be replacing my wife’s 2008 Volvo C30 in Orinoco Blue
It’s only got 219,000 km or 135,800 mlles and we both still LOVE it.

Alas, the Old Gal (or Old Fart) has performed admirably it it is time to
retire gracefully and let us JOIN the EV Revolution…..again.

I had to look that up…. ….okay no one is going to have one of those suckers. Maybe, just maybe in California but I’d bet a bakers dozen no one has one of those 🍩. Which reminds me chocolate glazed raised… boy are those good 😛

I have a 2019 Acura RDX and when I had first gotten it, I thought a 4 cyl. turbo would save me gas.

I was so so wrong - I average 17 mpg. Every time I go to the gas station, my wallet cries. Every time I'm stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, I also cry. So that's when I knew I needed either a Hybrid or an EV. I am unsure if I'll do a trade in, because the RDX is almost paid off and can be used for longer road trips. On the other hand, I can probably sell it for more than I'd have left to pay and put that amount of money towards the Ocean....

Lots to weigh and it'd be mostly dependent on whatever finance/leasing options Fisker makes avail.

I got a RAV4 Prime (PHEV) a year ago which we will be keeping. We are selling an 8 year old Chevy Sonic this month and going with a single car for the next year or so. I have a converted order for the Ultra so hoping to get it in the next 15 months.

IMHO, that's your best option.
Remember, you can run all the road trips your heart desires with the Fisker Ocean
The flex Lease allows 30,000 miles per year
