This has been brought up on multiple threads so I thought I might take a stab at addressing it. People keep mentioning the the timelines presented to begin manufacturing the One's, then the Extremes, then the Utras, then the Sports. I thought I would put my two cents in because I suppose that is what we are all here to do. I have found people keep discussing the One, Extreme and the Ultra like they are fundamentally different runs. I might be missing something, but besides the solar roof (and possibly a different stereo?) the two cars will likely have all the same hardware. Much of that hardware just had to be software locked on the Ultra models until the owners unlock the features via OTA. This allows them to build as many or as little Extremes as they want and then switch to the Ultra trims without any additional delays. It may even make it possible for them to build the trims at the same time. They of course will want to get as many Extremes out of the door as they can to start bringing in that $, but I think its possible we will see batches of both Extreme and Ultra trims being released at the same time in the latter half of 2023. This is all speculation, I have no background on car manufacturing but that is probably how I would set it up. Just my two cents.

Although you are fundamentally correct, putting a different roof and stereo in means essentially two different lines, or retooling the same line to some degree.

Retooling generally requires a stop in production for some duration of time. I'm not optimistic that we will see more than about 5000 Ultras by years end 2023. And, most will likely go to Europe.

I've come to understand that parts to make cars frequently get tied up during these supply chain choked times. Things get pushed back. I really doubt we will even see 30k total delivered by end of 2023.

I don't think we'll be seeing a different stereo system. The hardware will be all the same but will be disabled via software and you'll probably be able to activate it via subscription or just buy it. I'm pretty sure all of the Ocean's will be the same hardware wise except for maybe the solar roof. Everything else should be the same across the lineup.

There is still a big difference between the One/Extreme/Ultra and the Sport. That being the 2WD vs 4WD drive train and smaller battery pack with different chemistry.

I was referring to the features but apart from the battery pack, we're still not 100% sure about anything else yet. Still waiting for Fisker to solidify features and give us the list of exactly what differentiates each trim from one another. October is around the corner, so we won't be waiting much longer.

I hope we see a AWD version of the regular range one day. It would significantly simply production. This is one of the areas I hope Fisker takes notes from Tesla on. The 4680 standard range Y's are slowly starting to roll out but are all AWD. Streamlines the entire process.

I love this topic 😄
I keep throwing in my 2 cents. I am sticking to my wishful speculation, which is that they will be forced to make Ultras earlier than we think. There are just not enough Extreme reservations to fill the 50k slots at Magna.
The Ones will be complete by Dec 2022 (latest Jan), as they only have to build 5000. Then it's off to the races 😁

Here is what I want; Ultra with the revolve screen. Hell, we'd pay an extra grand for the function.
I really wish landscape display could be an option while driving. Reconfiguring the UI for either mode would be cool. It's definitely something that could be done with an OTA update.

Agreed. I would love the rotating screen but I have a 60,000 dollar limit that I will not cross on purchasing a vehicle which is why I'm selecting the Ultra. If Fisker offered The rotating screen I would definitely add it.
The Ultra with the Winter package is the configuration I'm ordering.

I think they will definitely ship with the ability to purchase it separately. Maybe not right away but soon after if not. Might have to give those One and Extreme owners a little time being the only ones with the ability. Since the revolve screen will come with HMI capabilities as well it may be another area of revenue generation for Fisker. I probably wouldn't pay a grand to unlock it, but $500 maybe...

This is really interesting to me. I'd like to know what about the rotating screen is so compelling for you. I see no use for it, so I wonder what about it makes it so attractive. I can't imagine anything I'd watch that would just match a recharging rest stop time length, even if we took long car trips (which we don't).

Well, for one, my g/f's use case at this time is that she would be using public DCFC once a week just for keeping topped up for the week. Her commute kind of demands it. If she could stay in the car and watch a show until completion, it wouldn't feel like a waste of time.

Second, it's that no other car does this, and it's obvious. That's what makes the dancing thing that the Model X does convincing. Is it a gimmick? Sure. Does it make the car different from everything else out there? You bet.

Exactly. Not a need, but just a neat feature to have. If I could just lock the screen in landscape that would be optimal. but I don't think they are going to have that setting for any trim.

It's just different, something you don't see out there in the industry.

The responses about uniqueness do seem to reveal a "pull" for novelty. I guess I lost or never had that receptor about valuing something more because it was new or different...I just want what actually works for and benefits me...which is why dog windows and California mode also have zero appeal to me. Hope all you rotating screen fans can be accomodated. With 99%+ of my charging expected to be in my home garage at night , it's not for me. I'm just still hoping for some additional interior color choices to coordinate with an earth tone exterior and Sirius radio.
