Hi everyone. I’m just a boring suburban IT Manager from the Atlanta Georgia metro area (Fayetteville, GA). I’ve been driving my Kia Optima for a few years now and I was looking to upgrade to an electric SUV. I was debating between the model Y and the Mach E. But when my wife sent me the Fisker Ocean I had to have it and put down my deposit for the Extreme. I want to get away from these ICE cars and trucks and go full electric. I purchased the first Gen Chevy Volt for my wife years ago and I have no regrets on that one. This SUV will give my family more space without having to drive the Dodge Ram 1500 we have.

Very nice and welcome. I personally still have not put down a reservation as of yet. But will sooner or later. Just waiting for more information and I got a Outback 1.5years ago so no need to rush for me gotta pay down that car some before I can get a new one. But I do believe the Ocean will be my next car and more than likely will try and get the Ultra trim level as anything above that will probably be too much for me to make payments on, insurance, but the flexee lease/subscription might help with that.

I‘m attracted to the Lease option as well but I’ll make a game time decision on it. I work from home to I can go either way. The timing for the ocean lines up well for me since my 2014 Kia is beat up and I’m in the market for something new. Now I have to just sit and wait. We purcbased the RAM in 2020 when they were doing the 0% apr financing as the pandemic hit and my other two cars are paid off so it is primetime for me to indulge myself a little. .

Welcome @Conleyga! We've got a lot in common already. I'm in Atlanta as well. To be specific in Kennesaw. I also own an Optima but I have the original 2011 SX Turbo. I just finished purchasing a First Edition EV6 for my wife but towards the back half of this year it will be my turn. I also have a reservation in the system but I made mine last year as part of the First Edition launch (First 5000) So in November I'll have a chance at the "One" I'm debating whether to go for that or just get the Ultra.

@bronco7777 my wife asked me why I didn’t choose the First Editions I think a part of me wouldn’t want to drive it because I would feel like it’s a collector’s item. You’re making me reconsider the “One” lol. I’ve my Kia into the ground and it was one of the recalls for a free new engine but I want something nice and has space. This will be the first new car I buy for myself in my life. (I’ve purchased 3 for my wife over the years).

First Editions do have that feel to them. But we are taking steps to protect the car (PPF/Ceramics). In our case with the EV6 what made the car unique was the special limited dark green interior. Other than that it was just some additional badges and a special pattern on the dash and center console (See video First Edition EV6 - Glacier white with Dark green interior) and pics below. So while in a way it is a collectors item and we are babying it....we are just going to enjoy it. If you get the Ocean "One" I believe it comes with that special Matte Paint finish. So that is something that would require extra protection for sure. You can't take that paint through car washes.

Hello new Fiskerite! I'm not far up the road from you in Knoxville. I try to stay out of Hotlanta unless it's something pretty important which draws me down there!:sneaky: For instance, I expect (hope) that Atlanta will be in phase II of Fisker's "Experience Centers" cities in the US. I would definitely consider a trip down there to see the new Ocean up close and personal a really important...and exciting...reason to make a run down to Hotlanta!😎 Keep your eyes and ears open for any signs of a Fisker center down that way, and, please give us a heads-up if you get any news on this locally. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the party! Like @bronco7777 we have a lot in common. My wife and I live in the Nortthwest metro Atlanta area near Canton. We did have a 2012 Optima until we traded it in last year for a VW ID.4. We were immediately hooked on EVs but are already upgrading. Considering the EV6 but like you as soon as I saw the Ocean I was sold. Whenever I start thinking maybe I should get the EV6 my thoughts immediately go back to the Ocean. My biggest decision will be Sport or Ultra.

You’ve changed my mind. I’ve updated my config to the One. It will be something cool to have that first edition designation. That EV6 looks very nice. I can see why people are considering it.

I wish the Ultra was more of a middle between the Extreme and Sport. I was going to get the Ultra but my at home supervisor (wife) was like get what you really want....lol

If we get more preorders in the area i think Atlanta would be a great landing spot for an Experience Center for the southeast. Fingers crossed.

Happy wife happy life. But I think the Ultra is a good in between from Sport to Extreme. and instead of a 30k increase only 10k increase. Also I am sure the Ultra will have packages that will make it similar to the Extreme once everything is said and done so I am just waiting to see what happens.

I'm sure you can add to the Ultra and easily create your own fusion to arrive at something that is in between the Ultra and the Extreme.

That is a question I have. How many of the features will be available as a add on to get you closer to extreme without buying the extreme.
I think questions we all have. I will just be looking at options that are available on the Sport that could create my ideal car between that and Ultra. And assuming CA mode would not be available as on option on Sport, should I just get Ultra. :)

I did see that the full set of ADAS hardware is included on all models, but software enabled at different levels for each trim. So, I would say a software unlock/upgrade option for the Sport and Ultra trims for that is likely and probably other features as well. Henrik has mentioned selling OTA software upgrades as a big part of their business model. I guess one nice thing about that is you could spring for some of the other options any time after the purchase.

Well, as far as we know right now, the Ultra model comes with all of the Sport features (not same batteries) plus several other upgrades which I'm sure you have seen on Fisker's website. The only announced "available options" that Fisker has pinned down now...that I know of...are Smart Traction and Winter Package options. As EvolOcean says, the ADAS hardware is supposed to be included on all models so one would think that would be an option at order time (or, OTA update if purchased after time of initial purchase). There could be other options announced as we move towards the actual order date time, and the configurator is released and ready to handle our orders.

So I contacted Fisker. I asked if any extra features could be added to the Ultra. This was the response I got:
"The options that are available are set for each trim level. The things you will be able to customize or add on are; the wheel options, vehicle color, winter package, tow package, and traction control with more information to follow. Things like the Revolve screen or Solar sky will not be available as an add-on option for the Ultra."

The part where they say:
"...with more information to follow". I hope that means they might open up the list of the things you could add.
