Just a question - is the Ocean One interior significantly different the the Extreme (other than badging)? The reason I’m asking is that people are mentioning that the $5000 value of the One over the Extreme consists of paint choice, wheel choice and interior. Just wondering if I’m missing something.

Nope. The One is basically the Extreme but you get any paint color, and if I'm not mistaken any wheel choice and any interior choice at no charge. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It just seems odd that to charge trim color would be a charge on the other trim levels. Most car companies allow a color change for no charge. A charge may apply if you went from a standard interior to a more premium interior.

Other than the One, Great White is the standard color and Black Abyss is the standard interior. It's pretty common for manufactures to charge for both upgraded paints and/or interiors; Tesla just takes the price options to the extreme. I sense Fisker will be matching Tesla in their pricing model. If you look at Rivian - Silver is the base color with other colors being $1,750-2,500 and the interiors are $2,000 if you don't go with black (unless you have grandfathered pricing).

I had found more info to answer my initial question. The standard interior is Black Abyss in cloth. Upgrades will be Black Abyss in leatherette, Sea Salt in alcanterra and MaliBlu in alcanterra. Initially I was unaware the standard was black cloth.

I'm guessing the interior Sea Salt and MaliBlu will be $1500-2000 options for the other trim levels. The 22" wheels probably $2000-2500. Add in the Big Sur Blue Matte ($2000), other than white ($1000). You can easily hit $5000 in free upgrades for the Ocean One.

Aren't they the same price?
Yes but this is where it gets confusing. If you go to the “featured highlights” on the website, one featured highlight of the ONE over the Extreme is the F3 Slipstream wheels. So that makes it sound like you CAN’T get the F3 wheels unless maybe you pay extra for them.

Now then, go to the available wheel choices and all the wheels are there. But it doesn’t say they cost more….yet. And this is what I expect will change when the super configurator comes online. Suddenly paint colors will cost more, certain wheels will cost more. Interior choices might cost more, who knows. I think though that you will only be able to get the Malibu with the ONE but who knows.

So clarity is certainly needed here. But I’d bet a dozen donuts that people will realize in due time that getting the one was a better deal for those who want certain features. The ONE is giving you every choice because you/we are willing to be first adopters with crap for information yet. I’m willing, because Fisker has designed some great cars, why would he go backwards on something that will be his legacy? I suspect the car will awesome.

That's why I ordered the One with the Mariana paint, MaliBlu interior and Air Glider wheels. They will probably be $1000, $1500, and $2000 options on the Extreme. Only the white paint, black fabric interior, and 20" wheels will be free on the Extreme/Ultra/Sport.

I am confused about the timing. When I reserved my 1 (ordered), I had to state where I wanted it delivered. This cannot be changed. So, presumably they are figuring out logistics of where to send the Ones.

However, they haven't yet asked me to confirm my choices such as wheels and colors. Why not? Seems like figuring out how many Maliblu interiors are needed in the first few months of production would be important.

When do we make our selections? And, why so late? And why was destination city so urgent in July?

Final selection occurs in October after the new configurator arrives.

Sad thing is, there are many people who would like the one who may have to settle for the extreme. But then if I have to pay for colour and PU trim it goes out of my budget.

I don't mind forgoing the solar roof .. just a silly gimmick to me for the wheels and colour/interior.

You can update your address, you just need to email them. You can not change your registration and/or delivery address to be or occur outside of the country you initially designated.
