On his FB post he said he was not on any One wait list (July 10 2022 reservation) and this just came out of the blue. Funny he did consider it might not be legit but confirmed it before forking over the 5K. Not sure what this says about HF's 1000 person wait list for the One.

I know...! He probably does not want to hear constructive criticism .. or negative comments about the way they have conducted many things. He likes to hear only positives ..

... Interesting that the Homologation had not passed so was delayed and had to be resubmitted. Not many of us picked that up!

Have you paid your deposit with credit card?

Honestly cannot recall... But do remember they took the £250. Also was awake when the first emails hit of the wait list as email was pinged whilst in Cairo. So requested to be on wait list almost immediately. Seems my fellow Brit got to it first. Will be waiting for his review.

And have you paid your initial 250 with credit card or other methods?
To clarify the reason for my question: As I understand there are two depositors from Britain. Only the one of them not on the waiting list for the ONE received invitation.
Questions: Why they have new invitation? The 5k deposit is non refundable, the deal cannot be cancelled theoretically.

For some mysterious (I have even seen good theories explaining why) reasons payments made by credit card went into bank escrow while payments with other methods went as cash to Fisker. Fisker is in the process of attempting to raise funds. Raising some funds from new ONE depositors paying by cash would increase funds. It would not be much, but small fish is good fish.
I do not claim that this is a good theory, but I am trying to come up with a plausible explanation. Obviously, my suggestion to anybody to get into the non refundable contract getting the money into a bank escrow is safer than paying directly to Fisker. If for any reason the sale does not go through it is much easier to get the money back from bank escrow than from Fisker.

However any payment made by credit card, even partial, covers the full risk of the car. That’s why in the UK you should ALWAYS pay a car deposit by credit card then you’re protected. Ed

$5k deposits in the UK/Europe were not non refundable like in US/Canada if i remember correctly.
Somebody in the EU could have jumped ship with their ONE deposit.

I remember now. I paid by credit card. I also ordered in 3rd July. I also put name on waiting list at instant it came out.

Unfortunately I am also a Fisker critic. I call BS when I see it. Fisker has never been transparent with anything from allocation of ONE via country to how numbers FOR ONE are generated even if random. So I don't expect any logic in how waiting list is allocated.

I paid be credit card to protect me should the £60k be written off. Also as for £5k non refundable... I am not sure even if they say it, they can keep our money. EU as strong consumer protection rights (even if the UK is out of the EU).
