Can some one explain me why a list for the ONE, bcse they have sold all the 5,000 available ?On August 15th, Fisker opened the Ocean One Waiting list. I believe it was sent out to people without an Ocean One order. Can anyone confirm?
If someone cancels, then the people on the waiting list take their spot. I doubt we'll see a significant number of cancelations due to the that $5,000 deposit but there will be people who's circumstances may have changed or are having second thoughts. Can some one explain me why a list for the ONE, bcse they have sold all the 5,000 available ?
People's circumstances change and unfortunately, we are in a recession and people are starting to pull back spending. Some may have even lost their jobs. They'd rather lose the $5,000 than be stuck with a car payment. The US economy is hurting, and I anticipate that it's going to get worse.Seems they have extended the waiting list for another 48hrs. I am not sure why. They should have got a good response first time and unlikely many would cancel with risk for 5k loss.
I just hope if that's the case on individual basis they return 5k if they get replacement people.People's circumstances change and unfortunately, we are in a recession and people are starting to pull back spending. If they had not sold out of One's, there was no reason to close the One orders a day before the Investors Meeting. They would have just kept the ordering process open until at least end of the previous day and then said 'Orders full'.I am guessing they did not actually sell out of the Ocean One's but merely just stop taking orders so they can get the order banks prepped. If they did not sell out of the Ones then when the time comes and they get done doing all the actual orders for Ones they will notify the waitlist people for configuratiions so they will start working on building their Ones.
This is just a guess and I am sure I am wrong.
Misleading investors is a serious crime and if it ever came out that they did ever lie like that, Fisker would be done for. I don’t think they’d take that risk.Additionally, they would want to know who is actually interested in the One, if a current order holder backs out. So keeping list makes sense. I also don't think companies are in the habit of lying at their share holders meetings/earnings call.
That's kind of my point... unless you are Elon, then you can say what ever...Misleading investors is a serious crime and if it ever came out that they did ever lie like that, Fisker would be done for. I don’t think they’d take that risk.
Now why was I anticipating that name in this line of thinking? That's kind of my point... unless you are Elon, then you can say what ever...
LOL Imagine the backlash... no way would they do that. They can't advertise specific exclusivity and then change that.I have seen somewhere on the forum that they already have 1,000 names on the waiting list! I think that they will say something like "because the amazing response on our model ONE we decide to increase the production to 8,000 uns".
They would have a lot of angry One owners.I have seen somewhere on the forum that they already have 1,000 names on the waiting list! I think that they will say something like "because the amazing response on our model ONE we decide to increase the production to 8,000 uns".
You are probably right !They would have a lot of angry One owners.
