Yes, 2.2 loaded in the middle of the day yesterday 09-09-2024. The car was inactive while uploading.
took a long time
Are you part of the test team at FOA? I should be getting mine today.

Was you car unplugged (not charging)? Did the update just happen or was there something on the screen to start it?

Good! How is it so far? Did you get a notification first so you can start the update (this is what I and I think a lot of other owners would prefer)?
I just heard from someone that just got 2.2. It gave no warning, and he found out when he saw a "installation complete" message. He tapped the software info page it said Ocean OS 2.2.

Can someone please tell me just what 2.2 officially does??? I can’t ever remember seeing what little Easter egg 🥚 we’re supposed to be getting??? Please tell me it changes or eradicates the wonk-wonk sounds 🙏

I just got update 2.2 tonight.

New features:

Regen on both axles: With regenerative braking available on both axles, vehicle dynamics will be improved (for AWD vehicle only).

External power outlet (US market): The external power adapter can now be connected to the charge port of US vehicles and be used as a power outlet for AC-powered accessories. This feature is also now enabled from the Charging screen on the Central Touchscreen in US vehicles.

Additional exterior lighting activation: During the day and night, additional exterior lighting such as the grille lamp and rear tail lamps are activated along with the daytime running lights. Activated lighting varies per market.

Performance improvements:

Software changes in the brake module to address all diagnostic trouble codes related to the drag torque control and to enhance the vehicle brake system’s ability to adapt to various driving scenarios.

Software changes to remove inner door handle pull and gear change to PARK as triggers which deployed the outer door handles. Deployment will now be triggered when: (1) door is opened/ajar OR (2) door is unlocked by the key fob, smartphone app, or inner door lock switch.

Algorithm changes to better estimate vehicle range based on the remaining state of charge (SoC).

Ocean’s energy management system enhancements during normal operation and OTA updates to better maintain your vehicle battery’s state of charge (SoC) and reduce passive battery drainage.

Climate controls optimization to mitigate fogging at near freezing temperature

Other bug fixes and performance enhancements

Thanks @MTN Ranger , appreciate the detailed explanation!!!

Next big question is if the company is banko, then how, why, and who is doing the updates? If there‘s no money left to pay a team of engineers to do this, then I can’t help but to wonder how this is getting done….. I’m just happy to have a driveable car and working navigation! Someone has to be paying someone….. Next on Unexplained Mysteries 🔦

Also, you note that DRL is supposed to come on….uh.. better? In my car the DRL just have no rhyme or reason to be on. It annoys the crap out of me that they just aren’t always on when I enable them and the headlights aren’t on. The fact that the car has to be in effing PARK to enable them makes me want to go postal. Please tell me this is fixed???

Thanks

Your VIN is 3 away from my VIN, I believe. I think you insinuated that you knew yours was coming, so you must have an inside track somewhere.

I'm hoping that they're doing this in numeric order.

Thanks. Have you tried if you can charge another EV either with the external adapter or the trunk outlet?

I did test V2L and it works with normal household items. Attaching an L1 EVSE and charge my Tesla is on my to-do list - along with disconnecting the front emblem lighting adapters and seeing if there is a difference with the lighting update.

I won’t hold my breath.
Almost 3 weeks ago FOA warned us in “2.2 is Coming - How to prepare” that
”2.2 is about to roll out in North America, and we have been given the following steps to prepare our cars. I would recommend that all North American owners take these steps immediately. This is a 3-part update. Each part may come a day or so apart, with full installation taking approximately a week.”
among the steps which are not to be neglected and not something that you want to get used to do every day is:
”DON’T: plug in trickle chargers unless you are leaving for an extended period of time (3 days or more), as they are interfering with the ability of the cars to upload the software.”.
Still only 25 are testing the 2.2 OTA, and why the heck are they testing the OTA when the 12v is charging (hooked up to a charger, shouldn’t the test be without a 12v charger? 🔌…isn’t this OTA for all at anywhere and anytime?)… afraid 😱 of bricking?…test the OTA on the unsold Oceans …
…Unless Fisker is preparing to sell Fisker branded 12v battery 🪫 chargers 🔌 in the Fisker store, …which should be bee free for FOO that …seem to test it all From the start.

“DO: charge your battery to at 80% - this update is a huge battery drain”, OK,
I understand that, but even charging 10%-15% takes hours and as
”DON’T: leave your car on the charger - the uploads cannot happen when your car is plugged in.”
when is the best time to charge so you won’t miss it 😢, AM, PM, EST, PST? …there are also other requirements like no child car seat left in the car….
and as all is a guess, ”surprise“ (that can be good…or bad), if all happens at home 🏠, it’s fine,
but if you are out and about, to
”DON’T: unlock the doors or get in the car if the interior and exterior lights are on or if you hear the vehicle’s “hover” sounds. This means that the car is in the middle of an update, and you don’t want to interrupt it or you can risk bricking your car.
DO: wait about 30 minutes after an update is pushed to make sure it has been completed. After about 30 minutes, do a full reset, and you should be good to go.”,
….remember that these are long updates….you may need to call that you won’t be home for dinner 🍽…
Seems that just luck 🍀 and ….a ”strong” 12v will take us over the 2.2 hump ….will be nice to know how many chances do we have, …if we do have more than one?

In the end, I presume that all these requirements weren’t just made up and have a base….coming from Fisker!?!
