Given the fact that we have seen the Ocean One email invites go to specific countries first, and that people who reserved in these countries (ie Norway) only in January of 2022, were given the opportunity of reserving the One.... who here thinks our original reservation place holder of 250$ actually means anything ?

Fisker announced no price increases for the first 40,000 reservations/or to end of 2023... Going based on estimates/announcements made, and charts floating around, anyone before April 2022 ish should be under this cutoff. However, with the Ocean One launch, and the latest update from fisker himself stating all Extreme orders would be done next, is it safe to assume he will jump around based on delivery countries first?
My gut tells me that they left it open and never specifically stated the prices would be locked for the first 250$ reservation holders in order of reservation date.

He also said Ultras would be built starting end of Q3, I feel that my order opportunity may not even get to me until 2024, and thus price increase.. ( I personally don't think he will have as many Extreme models being reserved as he hopes and hope still that ultra would start a bit sooner than this.)

Thoughts?

I've been saying this for a while, and sometimes it wasn't taken too kindly, but no, I don't think the reservation means much and holders have not been treated as they should and I think that they should have gone in order as they were taken. If this was not going to be the case, it should have been indicated somewhere either via the outdated website or app to let people know that 'x' number or 'y' percentage of reservations would be 'opened' per delivery region. How does it make sense that in the same country, and sometimes state, that a Nov '19 and anyone in 2022 would get emails allowing both to pre-order a ONE when reservations from 2020 and 2021 never got contacted?

At this point, if I'm still around and interested when they start up with the Ultra production, I don't think the reservation order means anything other than you'll be in a batch of emails and have 7 days to decide what you're going to do all the while thousands of others will probably get ahead of your build and keep you out of your vehicle even further.

Maybe I'm wrong........time will tell.

I tried to clarify if the price for my order is locked.
I have reservation # around 28K for ULTRA, but the problem is:
1. All people after me in-line, who reserved EXTREME up to Q3 2023 will be in front of me ;
2. Because of that, my vehicle order number could be > 40K, or placed in 2024.
Does the price for my reservation locked, or not?
I send this question to [email protected] as "General Enquiry" expecting the answer "Yes" or "No", but in four minutes (!) I got a response (copy/paste from F.A.Q):
"At this point in time, Fisker does not plan to raise prices for the Fisker Ocean in 2022 or 2023. Nevertheless, given the current rate of inflation and global market pressures in logistics and commodity costs, Fisker cannot guarantee pricing will remain static for vehicle orders received after the 40,000 reservation number or vehicles produced from 2024 onwards."
As we see now, there is a very big difference between the statements:
vehicle orders received after the 40,000 reservation number <=> 40,000 reservation number...
My gut tells me the price for my order will not be locked, and it could be the showstopper.

I'm afraid there's going to be a lot more of these same situations down the road.

To me, it clearly means that my conversion from reservation to pre-order within the first 40,000 is locked in.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this observation, but overnight, I received the invitation to submit $5000 to order the Ocean One. Based on Fisker's reservation growth chart, my deposit timing put me at about 20,000. Therefore, it appears the take rate for 5,000 units of Ocean One is running at less than 25%. The invitation gives me the alternative of ordering a different trim, which I will not do at this time. Far too little information has been made public as of now.
