We have seen more close up photos now of the interior. If anyone is curious with the functions of the steering wheel stalks, they are very similar in configuration to Mercedes Benz vehicles. The right stalk is the gear shifter. The three left stalks (from top to bottom) are 1) turn signal/wiper modes, 2) steering wheel adjustment/heated mode, 3) cruise control/ADAS modes.

You know, at first I was kind of disappointed that it did not have a super cool looking gear selector in the center console (e.g. Genesis GV60) but the more I think about, the more I realize that is just one more thing to keep clean like in my current car. I think I will appreciate that it is out of the way too.

Also, console gear selectors take up space that I would rather have for cup holders and storage.

Mercedes use to have the same setup back on their cars built in 2000's. They've long stopped using them now. Just a note that the setup is not the setup Mercedes is using now.
Yes, those controls I posted are from 2010-201X models.

I am just so grateful it doesn’t pull a Ford and have that god awful less than satisfying gear selector knob on the console. Something so lacking when you back out of a parking space and want to “slam it” into drive. Instead, you turn the dial like a safe cracker looking for the code…

That reminds me of the scene from The Other Guys, where they have the Prius chase and they are zooming in on the little gear selector like he is in a chase scene from Bullitt instead, lol:

There seems to be only 2 stakes on the version at the Paris Auto show.
It looks much cleaner than this 4 stalk version

It's possible the original 4 stalk design was a place holder. If it is indeed 2 stalks, the ADAS controls and steering wheel settings will most likely be relocated to the center touch screen.

I'm just thankful we'll have stalks, unlike poor tesla customers who have to use buttons on the wheel for turns signals, and use their touchscreen to switch gears, or hope the AI guesses the correct direction you want to go.

Here's a photo and it does look like just one stalk on the left side now.
