Personally I would have liked the wheelspace to be circular going with the lines off the tires. The rounded squared look is not my favorite. Can't argue about taste but here it is.

For me yes, the square arches but also the doggy window... Something about it .. looked at it again .. and actually the square gives it more presence and boxy feel and doggy window don't look as and as I initially thought .

So I'd have to go with interior . Not as plush as I'd thought.

Whatever caused it to fail the first homologation test. I would have changed that.
It failed?

Everything.
Naw, no where near everything. Just need the vehicle to live up to the stats on paper. Its very possible, we just have to wait.....

Had 2 Teslas and never used the frunk. The model 3 (and probably Y,never tested) isn't big enough to hold a spare tire. But I guess if you're an avid traveler then it will be useful

Me personally don't 'actually' not like anything because I need to see/test/drive a production model. Anybody who gets an Ocean One will have a valuable collectors item on day 1

He mentioned it on the investors call. I'm pretty sure this is quite common. I used to belong on an engineering design team back in university that designed and built an off road go-cart of sorts from scratch each year. The end goal was to race said cart on a track against other NA universities. There was a rulebook about certain safety, design, and engineering standards that had to be met before it could race however. And while the rules are fairly specific, there are always times where they are open to interpretation and its impossible to get everything right. The day before the race each team got their vehicles inspected and were given a list of places where they fell short of meeting minimum requirements, or things that needed to be changed directly resulting in rapid design changes. You would take the list, make the changes, and get back in line to try again. No certification, no racing.

I imagine the process is an even more complex for homologation and its something all manufacturers have to deal with so no need to worry too much about it. Patience is a virtue.

I wish the side cargo windows were not powered. I don't personally ever imagine myself using them, but they add cost & complexity to the car. Meanwhile, if they were not powered then they could be a little larger. ... I wish California Mode were not standard on the Ultra. I'd gladly give it up to get a little lower MSRP or have it replaced with almost any other feature for the current price.

Can you give a link (timestamp or transcript quote) where he mentioned this?

What a novel idea....May I propose a newer model trim Ocean SPORT+
All the goodies from the ULTRA trim sans California Mode.
Deploy the 100KWh NMC battery, full time AWD, 22" black F3 slipstream wheels & BigSky roof......No other options!
Delete California Mode, delete OpenSky sliding sunroof & delete Premium Sound+ speakers)
PRICE: $43,499 splits the Ultra/Sport difference (+/- $6000)
This Sport+ would be my first choice!

I'd be happy with that and only FWD. I'm the one who prefers long range FWD - preferably with heat pump.
