This is awesome! We can't find out a final configurtion of what's standard and what's optional and prices on those options, but they're going to be able to give us an 'estimated delivery window' for vehicles that won't have even started production. That's a pretty good trick!

My point is that it would be nice to know BEFORE we have to decide on the ONE/EXTREME. If adding what I'd want to an ULTRA gets within a certain amount and then the delayed wait time, I might decide to go with the EXTREME. At this point, I'll just have to say no and then wait til who knows when to get an ULTRA. If I didn't have a Nov '19 reservation down it wouldn't matter. But as I have the choice, it does.

This is a fair concern and I am not aware of a clear answer here from Henrik and team. What would make sense is that when they allow folks to "opt in" for the One, they release all of the missing information around configuration costs. We need to know option packages and lease numbers at the very least to make an education decision. They have said something about allowing the rest of the reservation holders to lock in their configuration in September or so, but they better not wait until then to give us all of the information...

I am thinking that they will release this information after/during the press reviews which will probably be in August or September but also depends on when the NDA's get lifted for the information to come out to the public.

That's too late if they want you to commit to something on July 1. How can they expect people to make a decision of this cost without knowing your options first?

For people that get the opportunity to order July 1 that is just for Extreme and One trim levels. They are fully optioned out and the Ones can only be purchased not put on the Flexee Lease option. So if you are looking at an Extreme or One it really does not matter as only choices you will have are color and wheels as they come fully loaded.

Now for the Ulta trim model (probably what I will get, but still over what I can afford probably), then its not as big of a deal I would not think as those models probably will not be shipped out until beginning of the year anyways but I do understand that we would like to know costs, what the actual options are, and so on. But that is why I am thinking August/September will be when that information will become available. As I have mentioned if you are planning on getting the Extreme it will not matter because they come standard with all the bells and whistles.

People who don’t care about the price will commit to One. I’m sure they will find 5,000 people willing to pay the $69,000 price out of the 50,000 or more reservation holders.

I'm sure they'll let you know full pricing before committing to purchase. (Hopefully!) Personally, I would like the Ultra (100 extra miles of range for the same price as my ID.4) but depending on lease rates and the options mix, I could be persuaded for an Extreme. However, I think I would skip the Ones and let others be the "first adopters" ;)

I think the point @anraganjr is trying to make is some people will be offered a One, but might prefer to have an Ultra if they don't mind waiting, and can option what they want while saving $5-10k. For example, I don't want 22" wheels and I don't care about a solar roof. So if I could get an Ultra and option the winter package, Smart Traction, and top of the line ADAS systems, for less than $68k, why wouldn't I? For someone to make that decision they will have to know what the options on the Ultra will cost to compare.

Very solid point. As I think only option I carry about is the Fi pilot

I’m with you - same things I would want! I’m sure they’ll have some options… would be crazy not too, right? And things like ADAS features could be subscriptions if the hardware is present in all trims…

I'm in the same situation as you. I would like to know the prices of the packages before I place my order for either the Ultra or the Extreme. I'm an early Jan of '20 reservation holder.

Correct from what I understand the Ultra won’t be in production until 2023 if they’re able to get out all the extreme orders out.
