I lived in florida for 25 years(i have no idea why).
We had some bad days below 50 where we would switch the thermostat to “heat” from AC and in the first 15 minutes the house would stink from the rarely used heating elements…😂
The joke with my wife was that she got to pop her UGGS out of the closet when the temps plummeted to sub 60.
