The depth of horizon gray and mariana are just fantastic.

 

Include Blue Planet in that list or I’m calling the Fisker police. I love how the Horizon Grey has blue flakes in it. Mariana is classy.

 

Yikes! I had figured on Mariana all this time, but looking at this representation of Horizon Gray - I don't know. Really need to see a real world example now.

 

You can make any paint color matte by installing matte PPF. That's what the Teslas you see are doing.

 

So the only basic color included in the price of ULTRA trim is White ? is that correct ?

 

Yes -- On the Ultra and Sport Trims, Great White is the standard (free) color included in the base price... All of the other colors are an additional option (the matte colors -- Big Sur Blue and Stealth Green -- are among the most expensive.

 

The Mariana and Horizon Gray seem a little dark when compared to photos and videos posted icon the internet. Can anyone who has seen these colors comment on how true the colors in these photos look?

There are lots of aftermarket wheel covers for Tesla’s now, but my guess is that it will take many years before there are any for Fisker. I guess I can live with 20s without the covers if 22s are too costly.

 

The top left is the 18" alloy wheel without a cover. The top right is the aero cover that comes with the car (though I have plasti-dipped it silver and black four years ago). The rest are all covers for the 18" wheel. My personal favorite is the bottom left corner. I do have one more set not pictured that are similar to the bottom right except with a glossy black finish.

Yes, those are the Rimetrix Matte Black and Silver. Since there is no brake dust, all of these are pretty easy to keep clean. I wash my car every month or two.

 

No brake dust at all? Is that strictly b/c of the regenerative braking or is it some type of ceramic pads you have on it?
That would be awesome. Brake dust is my bane but as i drive in “manual” mode with my car quite a bit i get really long life out of my brakes so i have not felt the need to swap put the stock pads yet just to get less dust.

What kind of car do you have? A lot of European cars have softer pads with quite a bit of metal in them. I have a mild hybrid (Honda) and it produces almost no break dust.

 

EVs in general have significantly less brake dust (and brakes last much longer) due to regen doing the majority of the braking on the car.

 

Yes, my Volt also had practically no brake dust and does my Model 3 due to regen. I could clean my ICE wheels weekly it gets so bad.

 

The Volt's physical brakes only gets applied after the regen slows the car down to 2 MPH, so it hardly gets used at all, so in over 6 years of owning the Volt, I never had to clean any brake dust.

You'll never find a "correct" image due to so many variables in camera's white balance, exposure, contrast, direct lighting, filters, etc. Then there are the issues of uncalibrated displays on the user side.

I think he means via the updated online configurator.

 

I am still between the blue planet and Mariana. I currently have the blue planet as my chosen color. Once I am able to see these two colors in person or from reviews..I will make my final decision. One just pop and the other more elegant… decision decision 😂

 

I was torn between the two as well but now have also added Horizon Gray after seeing pictures from the auto shows - still leaning towards Mariana (I feel the specs in the paint will help hide dirt better than the other two colors).

 

I hope more people select Mariana and Blue Ocean and Horizon Grey. That will make my BSB all that much rarer on the road

I like the 20" wheels themselves without the "aero" covers on them -- see photos of the Oceans at the film festival in Park City, Utah recently. Will likely experiment to see if they make much of an impact on range (covers on vs covers off).

 

If it's anything like my Tesla 18" wheels, it's about 4-5% more efficiency with the covers on.

 

I thought it was kinda funny Sun Soaked never gets any love. So I went ever to the configurator and did an Extreme in Sun Soaked and yeah...no.

 

BTW, using a color HEX lookup chart, Sun Soaked is a match for Apple's rose gold. Maybe for a Mary Kay salesperson?
