Hey All,

WOndering if anyone has chisme on the following:

1. Opening date of L.A. experience center
2. EPA range of Sport? (Heard on line more like 270 than 250?)
3. Anyone see this critical videoposted by Back Road Herio?
Among claims -A. Inrerior quality felt cheap including seats (felt like vinyl or plastic and door handles (flimsy)
B. No Apple Car Play(I saw HF say in an interview that they have prepared the car to implement Apple Air PLay if customers demand it.

Would love to hear your responses.

Only thing I know is that the plastic door handles were a pre-production thing since replaced with a finished part, and that there’s a couple threads on this site about CarPlay and Android Auto - feel free to read them all, but it seems like they want the subscription revenue to the internal nav - so if we want CarPlay, we need to complain loudly :)

Thanks for the reply. The video shows the door handles and good to hear they are more "finished" now. Concerned about the feel of the seats as well which is why I am hoping LA center will open soon.

Welcome to the forum from another SoCal resident (L.A.).
  1. We have been told a few weeks ago the L.A. Center at the Grove is to open by the end of the month but have not heard anything further. Either way, it will likely open within a month.
  2. Still no word on EPA range for Sport (or any variant). To date, they only have WLTP confirmed for One/Extreme which came in better than their original projection (still no WLTP on Ultra/Sport) so speculation is that EPA ranges and remaining WLTP ranges will be better than their projections but no guarantees.
  3. No CarPlay is known. As far as interior, the Grove location will be open soon and well before you will be able to order the Sport so you can judge on your own. I saw the car in Santa Barbara a year ago and was impressed with the interior and the seats but that was a very early prototype.
