As we all already know,
there is nothing for any of us to be told until after homologation.
We all know, as soon as that is done, we may finish our paperwork and hands on review embargo's will end.
Anybody who want's to charactorize the present moment as lack of communication aren't concern signalling in good faith.
The mocking of such a stance should be no mystery.

Nope- no email but finally at 11am pst i checked the desktop configurator and it changed back from “Q1” to 3/20. Not my original 3/6 or the 3/13 i had, but still better than the 3/26 and Q1 i was stuck with….
Just got the lock in email. I am a bit hesitant to put the date down because last time i did that, they yanked it away from me 3 hours later…

I’m gonna type it only once and very softly, so pay attention ..

…march 20th…..

Ssshhhhhhh!!!

Fingers crossed! Just checked again online, we’re still March 20th but no email yet… the 12 Oceans rolling off Long Beach are very promising though for what could be a June/July delivery!

Haha, stop drawing attention to it…
I just can’t figure out why my particular reservation has changed dates so many times. I never changed my build specs, i live at same address- just no rhyme or reason why it bounced back and forth between 3/6 , 3/13, 3/20,3/27 and Q1…

I got my email last night. Lock date 3/20. Now I got to rack my brain between the two colors until then. Mariana or Big Sur Blue.🤪
My Lock date was 3/6 and I was in the same boat, utterly confused for 2 weeks. Heart said BSB while mind said Marianna Blue. Polled with near and dear ones and they were split as well. I finally ended up keeping my desire to go with Matte BSB! Now look forward to my serial number coming this week.

I understand BSB is absolutely stunning in person.
It's a hand wash but I do that now anyway.
We ended up going with Mariana but I've got a feeling that all the colors are deep and stunning.

Congratulations and may we be driving our brand new OCEANS by Memorial day or sooner!

Thanks and Congrats to you too!. The 2 videos I used for polling were BSB & Marianna blue. I would have watched them at least a 100 times :). Marianna looks stunning in this video. I think its the closest to how it would look in reality. Wish there was one in full sunny day.

It's hard not to get the more expensive BSB matte finish with the One for no extra charge, but I worry about upkeep of the finish. Any scratches will be near impossible to 'remove', and while I primarily handwash, there are times when one just needs to take a vehicle through the car wash, especially to clean undercarriage (and particularly when one lives in a northern climate as I do). One cannot do that with a matte finish paint because of the waxes used in carwashes. Plus I use Zaino products to get that deep liquid reflective finish and which also help to fill scratches and swirl marks. This cannot be done with a matte. If I lived in a sunny, dry, southwest climate, I would consider the BSB matte. But I am going with Mariana.
Thanks for the videos, they really help. I think the website configurator still does a poor job on depicting the colors. The 68 page press kit does a better job.

The BSB is why i bought a pressure washer already. Battery powered greenworks version that i can fill up the 5 gallon reservoir with warm water on those winter days i just want to rinse off the mung and spunk from the paint and underbody.

The second my BSB One is delivered, it's going straight to the stop to get PPF. I had the same concerns about scratches and was going to pull the trigger on Blue Planet but I haven't ever owned a matte-colored car and I really wanted something different. You don't see a lot of matte-colored cars on the road. :)

I believe there are special PPF materials for matte paint but I know very little about it either way.
Yes there is PPF for marre paint. See below from 3M

I got the BSB instead of Black because of the free upgrade as well as the Malibu interior. I will do a color change wrap when the cat gets here. This will protect the original paint as well as give me a unique color. I have also already ordered my custom Lic. Plate for it.
